Hike. Bike. Build Connections.
The Baldwin County Trailblazers
The Baldwin County Trailblazers are dedicated to making our community healthier, more active, and more connected. Through advocacy, innovative projects, and strong partnerships, we work tirelessly to create safe biking and walking opportunities for everyone. Here’s a summary of what we accomplished in 2025.
A little history about a big project – The Trailblazers were founded as a nonprofit in 1995 to raise funds to create The Eastern Shore Trail, a 22-mile multi-surface path connecting North Daphne to Weeks Bay. We are advocates for the now-popular Trail.

County Connectivity Plan
The Trailblazers have achieved a years-long joint effort with the Baldwin County Commission to approve a countywide connectivity plan for bike-pedestrian corridors. Every municipality included in the plan has formally adopted it. Find out what’s next.
